Chuck Brown

Chuck Brown wurde als "Godfather of Go-Go" berühmt. Seine erste Deutschlandtournee 1987 war ein Meilenstein in der Geschichte des Funk. Mittlerweile widmet er sich verstärkt Klassikern des Jazz und Blues und legte mit "Timeless" ein wunderbar entspanntes Album vor, das seine Jazzwurzeln als Gitarrist, seine wunderbar soulige Stimme in den Mittelpunkt stellt und seinem Titel alle Ehre macht. Bei "Caravan" läßt er es sich natürlich nicht nehmen, eine Prise Go-Go unterzumischen.
